Understand athletic flooring, inside and out

You have a vision for what you want your next build to be. We want to help make it come to life with the right athletic flooring. Our Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are tailored for architects and designers to gain a fulsome understanding of athletic surfaces and how to select the right option for athletes and fitness enthusiasts. AIA, IDCEC, and EDAC credits will be provided.

High-performance flooring for sports, recreation, and fitness applications

In sports, fitness, and recreation spaces, one size does not fit all when it comes to flooring. Athletic flooring needs to not only look good at a good price point; it also needs to protect athletes by providing the right safety, ergonomic, and acoustic benefits. This course identifies the needs in each application and guides specifiers on the best performance surfacing to select.

Second-hand noise: Can flooring solve the problem?

Noise is a bigger deal than you may think, ranking up there with second-hand smoke as a public health hazard. And it’s not just outside traffic noise, but indoor noise as well. Both types of noise can not only be aggravating but can be harmful to our health. For a building designer, noise generated inside a building has a solution, particularly in the flooring specification, a cost-effective design strategy that can lead to dampened sounds and vibrations, and therefore a healthier environment.
